I learned today the blind can learn to draw. They use the same regions of their brain as the sighted. Through touch alone they determine distance, form and orientation. They trace the image on the page the way a carpenter works a lathe. With a handshake they could paint your hand print. With only a hug they could sketch you in portrait.
They never shade.
